Services

JW HR Services provides a variety of services. The goal for all services provided is to educate businesses on their rights and responsibilities regarding their employees. Services are provided proactively from the legal compliance angle with the goal of minimizing the employer’s potential for legal liability.

There are many Federal and State Laws governing the employment relationship. It is important for employers to be aware of these laws and the impact on their business. Because the State and Federal Laws are different, it is important for employers to be in compliance with both. Some of the laws governing the employment relationship include:

  • Title VII – Federal Anti-Discrimination Law
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA)
  • Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) – Federal Law governing minimum wage and overtime requirements
  • Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) – Federal Law governing employee rights to unpaid time off for certain medical conditions
  • Minnesota Human Rights Act – State Anti-Discrimination Law, includes additional categories not covered under Title VII
  • State Workers’ Compensation Laws
  • State Department of Labor Rules regarding the employment of minors (those under 18 years of age)
  • Federal Immigration Laws governing employment eligibility and completion of the I-9 Form

Please click on each category to learn more about that type of service.

***JW HR Services provides only consulting services. If your company is already facing a specific allegation or legal claim, you need to contact an attorney regarding your individual situation.
